Torgbui Amenya Fiti V unveiled as Patron of the Experience Volta Festival
The Paramount Chief of the Aflao Traditional Area, Torgbui Amenya Fiti V, has been officially unveiled as Patron of the upcoming Experience Volta Festival.
The unveiling ceremony was held in Aflao, at the palace of Torgbui Amenya Fiti V, where other sub-chiefs, priests, festival organisers and the media gathered to mark the occasion.
The festival is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Elwak Sports Stadium in Accra. It has received official endorsement from the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) as part of the prestigious “December in GH” calendar and the Black Star Experience – a platform that attracts both Ghanaians and the diaspora to explore Ghana’s cultural and entertainment offerings during the festive season.
The event is being organised by Ewevi Multimedia Ltd, owners of Ewe24 TV, in partnership with the Centre for National Culture (CNC), with the aim of projecting the unique traditions, heritage, and economic potential of the Volta Region.
Speaking on behalf of the organisers, the Chief Executive Officer of Ewevi Multimedia Ltd, Mr. Eric Seyram Agbolosu, stressed the need for all stakeholders to come on board. He explained that the festival is designed not only as a cultural celebration but also as a platform to drive growth, saying the event promises to bring development and investment opportunities to the Volta Region.
Mr. Agbolosu further noted, “We need to take Volta out of the existing market into a new market to attract more customers.” He emphasised that with the right participation, the festival could open up the region to national and international audiences, boosting tourism, trade, and creativity.
Following his address, Torgbui Amenya Fiti V accepted the role of Patron and pledged to put in his best to ensure the success of the festival. He called on people of Ewe descent in the diaspora, as well as Voltarians living outside the region, to participate fully in the celebration and lend their support to the event.
The Experience Volta Festival will feature an exciting blend of activities, including traditional drumming and dance, arts and crafts exhibitions, cultural performances, indigenous cuisine, and investment forums aimed at showcasing the Volta Region’s vast opportunities.
Thousands of participants – from across Ghana and abroad – are expected to attend, making the festival a key highlight of this year’s December in GH celebrations.
With Torgbui Amenya Fiti V as Patron, organisers are confident that the Experience Volta Festival will not only spotlight Ewe culture but also boost tourism, create jobs, and strengthen the Volta Region’s role in Ghana’s cultural and economic growth.
